E-JUST is the product of a long standing partnership between Egypt and Japan and should not only be viewed in the narrow context of just being a research and educational facility. Its ambitious role is to educate, foster industry partnerships, and become the core driver behind a regional Science and Technology Park, and finally promulgate technical standards and best practices in business and technology. E-JUST is seen in the context of a catalyst that brings in Japanese universities and Japanese industries and organizations to cooperate closely with universities, industries and organizations in Egypt, Arab, and African countries. It is also seen as a facilitating tool for Japanese development programs targeted at Arab and African countries. During its evolution, E-JUST is to become a world class Center of Excellence for higher education and research with regional and global reach. E-JUST is to become a first-rate international academic institution known worldwide for the high quality of its educational system, the high standard of its graduates and for the achievements of its research centers. In its role as a research-oriented university, E-JUST will foster efforts in various areas of research whether basic, applied, or industry sponsored. The university is opened to multidisciplinary research, within its schools or departments. The university also enjoys cooperation in research and creative activities with other agencies and consortium universities in Egypt and Japan, with the community, and with private enterprises in both countries.
Mission
The core functions of E-JUST are to contribute to the improvement of Human Conditions in the region. Its mandate is to use Science and Technology to achieve the goals of solving societyأ¢â‚¬â„¢s problems through sustainable improvements of human resources in the region by providing superior education to its students, and to offer pragmatic and innovative solutions to address human needs through outstanding products and services. E-JUST will promote and support the establishment of strong business, technical and commercial ties between Japanese industries and organizations, and their counterparts in countries and regions which are served by E-JUST; It is also a center for the dissemination of Culture and Knowledge between Egypt and Japan.
