On April 1, 2004, Mr. Sasaki became chairman of the board of Mitsubishi Corporation.

In 1960, he joined Mitsubishi Corporation after having earned a BS degree in industrial engineering and management from Waseda University in Tokyo and in March 1991 Mr. Sasaki became Executive Vice president of Mitsubishi International Corporation and was stationed in New York City.
